At Brightlingsea Primary School & Nursery we have great aspiration for our children’s future. We are resolute in our determination to provide an outstanding education for the children in our care. We believe every adult and child in our school should strive to be the very best version of themselves. Through uncompromising high expectations of everyone and an ambitious curriculum, children will aspire to achieve.

We believe all children should have a sense of belonging, a sense of belonging to a community that truly cares about them. Brightlingsea’s unique location means we are set in a wider community that invests in the school. Our positive, supportive school community is united in mutual respect and the pursuit of one common goal: to provide every child with a safe, happy, inspirational learning environment where there are no limits to what we can collectively achieve.

Here at Brightlingsea Primary School, equity means high academic achievement, inclusion and opportunity for all pupils. The difference between attempting equality and striving for equity, means recognising the significant barriers to success many children encounter, responding to create stepping-stones for those children to have the same opportunities as their peers and working in a person-centred way. Equity for all at Brightlingsea recognises each pupil and adult as an individual and responds to their needs to be successful.
